As part of my site's design, I draw on others' expertise with the use of certain open-source and/or freeware components. This page is a friendly thanks to their creators, both in recognition of their hard work and so that others can learn about these tools.

Navigation menu (link), developed by Martial B. and distributed via the Dynamic Drive portal for Web designers. This list-based accordion menu is simple in design, plays well with extensive customization and degrades reasonably well in non-CSS environments. A built-in persistent cookie feature allows the menu to recall the user's last section when a new page is loaded.

E-mail form (link), compiled by Mike Cherim and distributed via his personal website. This is the framework for the contact form I'm running here. Along with built-in validation and error notification, the form boasts extensive security features to avoid spam and net-abuse without the need to rely on inaccessible methods like CAPTCHA. Users will be asked a simple, customizable question in order to prove that they're human.
