Looking back in time, Hungry Lucy has fit my tastes in a decidedly odd way over the years. I’ve been a fan of their work since at least 2000 with the advent of Apparitions, but somehow their original work didn’t end up in my collection until more recently.
I realized it was all the more funny when one considers the many amazing remixes and collaborations HL has taken part in, like this:

And of course, discussing their work wouldn’t be complete without sharing that one special song that caught my attention all those years ago, one that was widely featured on gothic music sites of the period, and featured at the Seattle Gothic Halloween Festival not long after Apparitions was released, in addition to many live performances since then (including this one):
